Founded in 1965

Diamond Export Industries was founded in 1965 by Khurram Shehzad in Faisalabad — at the time a regional textile centre on the cusp of becoming Pakistan's textile capital. We started as a weaving operation, building on the traditional craft of textile making that had defined Faisalabad for generations.

From the beginning, we built around two principles that still define the company today: full operational control of what we ship, and long-term relationships with the buyers we serve. The first principle led directly to vertical integration. The second led to multi-decade customer relationships, many of which are still active.

Note

Building Vertical Integration

Most textile manufacturers in Pakistan — and globally — focus on a single stage of production. Some spin yarn. Some weave fabric. Some dye. Some stitch. Each handoff between stages is a place where quality can slip and accountability can dilute.

Over six decades, we built or acquired the capability for each stage and brought it onto a single site. Today our facility includes:

  • In-house spinning, converting raw cotton and synthetic fibers into yarn

  • Over 1,000 water-jet looms and 500+ air-jet looms — one of Pakistan's larger weaving operations

  • Dedicated knitting capacity for jersey, interlock, fleece and specialty constructions

  • Reactive, pigment and digital dyeing and printing facilities

  • Specialty finishing for hand, dimensional stability and durability

  • Multi-shift stitching capacity sized for retail-volume bedding programs

  • On-site retail-ready packing and container loading

This isn't vertical integration as a marketing claim. It's vertical integration as a manufacturing reality — every stage in our own building, run by our own team, under our own quality systems.

Why

Why Microfiber from Diamond Export

Three things tend to separate a microfiber manufacturer that wins repeat business from one that doesn't. We've built the company around all three.

1. End-to-end production control

Most microfiber suppliers are traders who outsource at least one production stage — usually the dyeing, sometimes the stitching, occasionally the packing. Each handoff is a place where consistency slips. We run our own spinning, weaving, dyeing, finishing, stitching and packing on a single site. The yarn that becomes your sheet never leaves our facility.

2. GSM consistency at scale

In a typical 50,000-set microfiber order across 14 production rolls, our verified GSM variance averages ±2.8 GSM — better than the industry standard of ±5. That difference shows up as fewer customer returns, more uniform feel across a retail program, and tighter cost control on freight and packaging.

3. Compliance that doesn't slow you down

We're a Disney licensed manufacturer, C-TPAT certified, and an approved supplier to Walmart, Target and other Tier-1 retailers. The compliance documentation, social audits and licensing chains that often delay programs at smaller mills are routine here. For licensed bedding programs, that's the difference between launching on time and missing a season.

Family Leadership

Diamond Export Industries remains a family-led business. The company's leadership is directly involved in operations, quality and customer relationships — a continuity that has shaped how we make decisions, how we treat partners and how we plan for the long term.

Khurram Shehzad — Founder & CEO

Founder of Diamond Export Industries in 1965, Khurram has guided the company through six decades of growth, from a regional weaving operation to one of Pakistan's larger textile groups. He remains active in operations and has personal relationships with many of our longest-standing buyers.

M. Junaid Khurram — Director

Director responsible for manufacturing operations, quality systems and the daily running of our Faisalabad facility. Junaid leads the operational discipline that produces the consistency our buyers depend on across repeat orders.

M. Zohaib Khurram — Director

Director responsible for international business development, customer relationships and global office operations. Zohaib oversees our network of offices across the UK, USA, Spain and China and the relationships with global retail buyers and brand partners.

GLOBAL PRESENCE

Production Capacity & Scale

Microfiber programs at retail volume require a manufacturer who can hold a quality line across hundreds of thousands of units. Our microfiber operation is built for that scale:

  • Over 1,000 water-jet looms supporting microfiber base fabric production

  • In-house texturizing and warping for full polyester yarn control

  • Dedicated microfiber dyeing lines with reactive and pigment chemistry

  • Multi-shift stitching capacity sized for orders up to 1M+ units per program

  • On-site packing and distribution-center-ready presentation

  • Quality control inspection at every stage — fiber, yarn, fabric, finished good

If you're scoping a program above 100,000 units in a single PO, we likely have the capacity in-house. We don't broker your order to a second mill.

Quality

Why Buyers Have Stayed for Decades

If you ask our long-standing customers — some of whom have run programs with us for 20+ years — why they keep renewing, the answer is rarely one big reason. It's a stack of small ones:

  • Consistency across repeat orders. The tenth shipment looks like the first. Same shade, same hand-feel, same packing.

  • Predictable lead times. Our vertical integration means we don't depend on outside dye-houses or external stitching units that can derail a schedule.

  • Compliance that doesn't slow programs down. Disney licensing, C-TPAT certification, social audits — all renewed and current.

  • Family-led continuity. The same people who set the quality standard 40 years ago are still in the building.

  • Communication in your time zone. Offices in the UK, USA, Spain and China mean buyers don't wait until tomorrow morning Faisalabad-time for an answer.

How to Visit Us

We routinely host buyers and brand teams at our Faisalabad facility. A site visit is the fastest way to understand whether we're the right manufacturing partner for your program. A typical visit covers a full facility walk-through (spinning, weaving, dyeing, finishing, stitching, packing), a session with our quality and compliance team, and direct conversation with leadership.

Faisalabad is roughly a two-hour drive from Lahore's international airport. We coordinate hotel arrangements, transport and visas where needed.
